During this challenging time called the Quarantine of 2020, it is difficult to stay busy, happy, productive, and to spend quality time with your family.
By now, you and your family are pretty bored. Maybe you have played every game in your closet, done every puzzle on your shelf, and cleaned every square inch of your house.
Maybe you have spent so much time homeschooling that you just need a break from the work load.
We have come up with a solution to boredom and solved the problem: How to keep busy at home with the family. We call it the Quarantine Challenge.
Because we need to be good citizens and practice social distancing this challenge and photo scavenger hunt can be played outdoors as individuals or in a small team.
How to Keep Busy at Home? The Photo Scavenger Hunt
So how to keep busy at home with the family? It’s as simple as dividing up as individuals or small teams. The family can choose how you want to do the challenge:
The winner is The person/team that has the most points in an hour or a designated time, or the person/team who finishes the whole list first wins.
Each team brings a camera and goes on a scavenger hunt to find the items listed under Photo Scavenger Hunt. You/your team will look for items listed and then take a picture of each item you find as proof that you found it.
Notice that each item has a point next to it. Try to get as many points as possible. It may be best to start at the bottom of the list and work your way up. Strategy is important in the challenge.
How to Keep Busy at Home With the Family: Quarantine Challenges
Next is the Challenges! These are activities, or challenges you need to accomplish. You will need to take a picture or video you/your team doing these challenges.
These challenges can be easily done, but may require a you to stretch a little outside your comfort zone. For example the last two challenges require interacting with a stranger (not always easy even when social distancing is involved) and also getting toilet paper from a neighbor. Toilet paper is pretty valuable during these times. Do you think a neighbor will share?
Gather together as a family during these challenging times and have a little fun! We are all in this together, and together, we will pull through. Our families will be closer and stronger for it.
