Super Easy Father’s Day Popup Card
Father’s Day is just around the corner. Wouldn’t you like to brighten the day of every father in your life? These are perfect for Dad, Grandpa, and Godfather.
This Super Easy Father’s Day Popup Card is so easy to make, even younger kids can make it. Read the directions below. It is sure to put a smile on any dad’s face.
What you will need for The Super Easy Father's Day Popup Card
- Printer
- BEST DAD EVER Template – Get the Download from this page.
- 8.5 X 11 Inch Heavy White Cardstock
- 1 Sheet of 8.5 X 11 Inch Cardstock Paper your choice of color.
- 1 Sheet of 7.5 X 10 Inch cardstock (Optional) any color
- Scissors
- Color Pencils or Crayons (This option is if you choose to color the template yourself).
- Glue Stick
STEP 1: Download the Father’s Day Popup Card Template. (BEST DAD EVER along with 3 ties) You can Choose between the blank one if you are feeling creative and want to color your own, or the one already colored for you template if you aren’t in the mood for coloring, but who isn’t in the mood to color? Print the Father’s Day Popup Card Template on heavy white Cardstock
STEP 2: If you decide to color your own instead of using the already filled template, go ahead and color the Father’s Day Popup Card Template. I used These Colored Pencils. You can color each individual letter a different color or all the same color. Get creative with coloring the ties. Have some fun with it!
STEP 3: Cut out the BEST DAD EVER template and 3 ties along the line with scissors. There are tabs the tops and bottoms of each word. Cut around those as well. If you are feeling daring, you may cut closer to the letters, but make sure you leave the tabs.
STEP 4: Choose 2 sheets of any color cardstock you want to use. One should be 8.5 X 11 Inches and the other should be 7.5 X 10 Inches. The smaller sheet is optional, but it adds more color and dimension to the card. Fold both sheets of cardstock in half.
STEP 5: Glue the smaller sheet of cardstock on top of the larger sheet of cardstock and match them on the fold. The larger sheet of cardstock will act as a frame for the smaller sheet of cardstock.
Step 6: Fold the words BEST DAD EVER in half along the line that joins them at the top so that the tabs are on the bottom of the words. Line up the words BEST DAD EVER evenly across the card. Put a little bit of glue on the front of the tabs on both sides of the word. Place the words on the card so that they are just a little bit above the fold of the card. Close the card and press to secure the words to the card.
STEP 7: Open the card and make sure the words are secure and lined up properly on the fold. Glue the ties wherever you would like on the card.
Add more ties, doodles or write a special message for your dad.
